With Rohlik.cz and Google Maps it’s possible!
About the project
Rohlik.cz is the largest supplier of food products in the Czech Republic. It stands out from the competition with express delivery and high-quality products. The dynamic development of Rohlik was an impulse for the company to look for a solution that would help them maintain the highest level of services offered with a constantly increasing number of customers. Check out if the solution proposed by Globema – Google Maps Platform – met the client’s expectations!
Rohlik.cz, an on-line grocery store founded in 2014, is the largest food delivery player in Czechia. Currently, it operates in several Czech cities and its services are available to more than 2.5 million potential customers. We support Rohlik since 2017 in the scope of Google Maps Platform services.
Online grocery shopping has a huge potential not only in Czechia. From the start Rohlik.cz had a clearly defined goal – to stand out from the competitors. They wanted to provide better service, improve the speed of delivery, be customer-oriented and maintain top service quality.
To achieve their set goals, Rohlik needed:
- accurate data on the location of customers,
- detailed information about suppliers (e.g. their location and availability of goods), to be able to pick the best one to complete each order,
- estimation of the delivery time,
- knowledge of current traffic conditions.
Rohlik’s milestones on the road to success
At the very beginning of its operation, Rohlik.cz has decided to use Google Maps services. These are used to easily define the delivery area, to find and validate the delivery address, to calculate the arrival time of the courier based on the current traffic or even calculate his delay.
We use all of the Google Maps Platform products:
Traffic information is the key element of Google Maps when it comes to delivering goods. Furthermore, it provides global coverage of high-quality data. Therefore, when the company decides to go forward with the expansion abroad, the built solution can be easily used there without major changes.
What are the goals for the future?
Automating process in their warehouses and headquarters.
Improving availability of services, to be able to deliver orders whenever customers express such need.
Maintaining the quality of their assortment of goods as well as internal and external growth.
