On May 27th, 2025, Globema joined industry leaders, developers, and decision-makers at the Google Cloud Summit Czech Republic, held at the iconic Prague Congress Centre. As a long-standing Google Cloud Premier Partner, we were thrilled to contribute to this dynamic event that showcased the future of cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and data-driven business transformation.
Connecting with the Google Cloud Community
From the moment the doors opened, the summit buzzed with energy and innovation. Our Czech team members, Adam Križan and Ondřej Martínek, represented Globema at our booth. They welcomed attendees with insights, demos, and a shared enthusiasm for all things geospatial and cloud-native.
Throughout the day, Globemians engaged in meaningful discussions with attendees spanning diverse industries, from logistics and utilities to retail and finance. These conversations gave us a unique perspective on the real-world challenges companies face and how they aim to harness the power of Google Cloud and Google Maps Platform to solve them.
Key Topics and Insights from the Summit
Optimizing Logistics with GeoTask
One of the standout themes in our discussions was logistics optimization. Our solution GeoTask, renowned for its advanced routing features, caught the attention of several visitors. We explored how smart route planning not only reduces fuel consumption and travel time but also helps businesses scale efficiently while staying sustainable.
Tapping into Environmental APIs
Another hot topic was Google’s Solar API and other environmental datasets. Companies are increasingly looking to blend location intelligence with environmental data, for example, estimating solar potential on rooftops or incorporating climate factors into infrastructure planning. It’s exciting to see how APIs like these are unlocking a new generation of green tech solutions.
Smart CRM and ERP Integrations
Visitors were also curious about integrating maps into their CRM and ERP systems. We showcased examples like customer locators, heatmaps, and demographic analysis, demonstrating how these integrations help businesses understand their customer base geographically and optimize field operations.
Places API and Payment Intelligence
One particularly forward-looking discussion centered around the Google Places API. We explored a concept that blends payment insights with real-world locations. Imagine seeing not just a card transaction but also the store’s name, opening hours, images, and customer reviews. This paints a richer picture of user behavior and opens up new possibilities in data enrichment and analytics.
GeoMarketing with GeoGrid
Lastly, our GIS software for data visualization on maps, GeoGrid, piqued interest—especially from an end-user involved in pricing comparison tools. We discussed how granular location-based analytics can drive smarter marketing, tailored outreach, and ultimately, better customer acquisition strategies.
Our Takeaway: Maps + Cloud = Infinite Possibilities
Participating in the Google Cloud Summit Czech Republic 2025 reaffirmed our belief that the combination of geospatial intelligence, cloud platforms, and AI is transforming how organizations make decisions, serve customers, and build smarter operations.
We extend our thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth, shared their ideas, and inspired new directions for our solutions. And of course, a big thank you to Google Cloud for hosting such a future-forward event!
